Did you know that many of the animals brought to Greenwood didn’t actually need rescuing? Greenwood volunteers like to say that these animals were “kidnapped” by well-intentioned humans. Unless injured, sick or orphaned, they are better off in their natural environment.

Enjoying Mountain Living

Pine Brook Hills is a special place to live.

Life in the mountains provides many wonderful opportunities to enjoy all that nature has to offer.

The serenity and beauty is breathtaking but comes with challenges not associated with city living.

This page contains information to help us make the most of our mountain environment. We all need to be aware of our responsibilities to ensure that we treat this special place with the respect and care it deserves while staying safe as we share space with challenging natural events and precious wildlife.

Pine Brook Hills History

Pine Brook Hills development began back in the 1960’s and the historical background from the early days to the present is really interesting.

A presentation by Dave Davies at an HOA meeting several years ago provides some fascinating facts about the people who started our community.

Here is a summary of Dave’s presentation
and an article from Jo Wiedemann.

Dave’s complete presentation is here.
