Enhancement Committee

PBH Enhancement Committee

The Enhancement Committee is dedicated to continuing efforts to improve the Pine Brook Hills community. Volunteers meet neighbors while participating in activities that improve the quality of the community, and increase property values. Projects are conducted like “barn-raising” events, and are funded by the HOA, the Community Fund, or other community fundraising.

Getting Things Done...

Pine Brook Hills is an active, vibrant community that has a long history of neighbors working together to maintain and enhance the  beauty, strength, and resilience of our neighborhood.
The PBH Enhancement Committee has a significant number of accomplishments including:

  • Enclosing the trash and recycling dumpsters at the Community Center
  • Removing a dilapidated bus shed
  • Replacing the PBH neighborhood entry sign
  • Refurbishing the Community Center signage
  • Installing directional road signs throughout the neighborhood
  • Landscaping and improving the grounds at the Community Center
  • Building the Community Memorial Garden at Linden and South Cedar Brook
  • Installing ceiling fans and lights at the Community Center
  • Replacing the entry door and hardware, and refurbishing the stairway at the Community Center
  • Installing lights for the Community Center parking lot
  • Installing solar film on the windows of the Fire Department offices
  • Constructing a low retaining wall at the fire truck bays

Donate Materials

Do you have access to landscaping tools, earthmoving equipment, rock, or landscaping plants?
In-kind donations can help keep the cost of projects down.

Donate Your Time and Labor

Think of enhancement projects as a PBH “barn-raising” and donate your time to work with your neighbors. We know this is a special place to live…let’s make it more special. Individual projects are usually led and coordinated by an individual or team. Some projects need landscape or design work; others need gardening expertise. Most projects need work crews willing to put in a few hours of labor. The work crews have fun with neighbors while accomplishing good for the neighborhood.
